HUBERTUS 2007

Hubertus, that is Hunting Ride of Saint Hubert, organized in the Horse Stud “Bielin” for years, it reflects the tradition of horse hunting. The name Hubertus comes from Saint Hubert, hunting patron, whose day is on 3 November. The “hunting” is totally symbolical and takes place without dogs, with the “fox” being the rider with the fox’s tail pinned to the left arm. The one, who manages to pick the tail, makes a honourable round around the chase, and in a one year’s time he plays the role of fox. This year, exceptionally, the fox was not hunted but looked for, on account of unfavourable weather conditions, which made the soil dangerous for riding. The participants of Hubertus, who included tourists from Poland, as well as from Germany and Switzerland, were looking for a fox’s tail hidden among the branches. The winners of this year’s Hubertus Bieliński are Pelle Wahlstrom (27 October 2007) and Arkadiusz Surent (3 November 2007). The hunting was finished by revelry by the open fire, with roast and bigos [traditional Polish meal made of sauerkraut, sausages and mushrooms]. Then the participants moved to the drink-bar where all-night party honouring the winners took place. We congratulate the winners, and encourage everybody to catch the fox in the next year

FINALS OF THE POLISH CUP IN DRIVING TWO-HORSE-DRAWN CARTS 19-21 OCTOBER 2007

The last driving competition in the country, during which one played out the Finals of the Polish Cup, took place in HS Bielin on 19-21 October 2007.
Low air temperature did not cool the warm atmosphere during the competition and let play out all the contests, and there were many of them. The rivalry took place in classes C-2, C-1, N-2, N-1, L-2, L-1, with debuting in Bielin four-horse drawn carts in N-4 class. It is worth noticing that the drivers in this category were also debutants (Sebastian Bogacz, Piotr Mazurek).
The greatest emotions were accompanying during the contests counting to Polish Cup.
In C-2 breaking class the winner was Roman Kusz. The second place was occupied by our representative Waldemar Kaczmarek.
In C-1 breaking class the winner was Bartłomiej Kwiatek.
A difficult terrain probe in pairs was won by unbeatable Waldemar Kaczmarek. He was the best one in all hurdles. In singles the marathon was won by Maciej Forecki.
The last probe, ending the struggles of horse-drawn carts, was agility contest. The struggles in this contest were very interesting on account of tiny differences at the top positions.
Waldemar Kaczmarek LKS „Chersoń Bielin” (horses HS Bielin: Thanos, Lilia), swinger Roman Kaczmarek, won in pairs, confirming his class, which secured him victory of the whole competition.
In one-horse carts won Bartłomiej Kwiatek SLKS Książ, (Nikiel), swinger Bożena Łopuszyńska and this result placed him at the first position in C-1 class.

As the last classification probe to the Polish Cup, Bielin appointed the medallists.

The competition was participated by “the four” from Germany as guests. The drivers Koalick Torsten (Bakard, Schieco, Amadeo, Idol).
